Information

It is a bivalve mollusk similar to the great scallop but in a smaller size. Because of its scarcity, it reach a high price in the market. Its shell is nearly circular. It has several colours: brown, pink... It lives half buried in sandy soil and it moves with quick contractions of the muscles that close their valves. Hence its name, that seems to fly over the seabed.
